Greetings from LifeRing Canada:
It’s been a while since we last connected, and I can’t wait to tell you what’s been happening. Thank you for continuing to be a part of our recovery community.
LifeRing Canada continues to grow and we have many meetings both face-to-face and online where much of our audience is. Remember to watch for updates on our new website www.liferingcanada.org .
Many changes, accomplishments and growth have taken place over the last year or so. We have had multiple social media platform changes and updates as this is where we invite many participants to see what is happening.
Our Facebook group, the original page LifeRing Canada Facebook & the new LifeRing Canada Support Group both can be found and everyone is welcome to join. Our social media manager and new Vice President Dave M will sign you up or you can join yourself! In Messenger, LifeRing Canada Chat is growing everyday, and continues to be a central place where people in recovery can reach out and feel welcomed in the journey of recovery.
Most recently, and where a lot of the work happens, is our new board of directors. On November 22, 2025, many of us met along with guests from LifeRing USA to talk about our accomplishments, vision and to nominate and elect our new board of directors. Our newest elected board stands strong and continues the growth of LifeRing Canada. The new board members are directors; George G, Sanjit R, Jill M, Chris T, then we have Novena V (Financial Officer), Dave M (Vice President/Secretary) and myself as the newly elected President, Barb R. We also have 2 new volunteers Rick A is balancing our financial records and Martin H built and maintains our new website. We are all excited to be a part of this organization.
We continue to canvas for additional Convenors, as more facilities are looking to start meetings. It’s only a few hours a month, and it feels great to give back. Reach out to any of us to find out more or send an email to info@liferingcanada.org.
Three of our newest open face-to-face meetings are Our New Tomorrow (Kamloops, BC), ASK Wellness (Kamloops, BC), and Tsawout First Nation (Saanichton, BC).
As you are the audience of the LifeRing Canada community, what do you want to see? Do you have suggestions that we should know about? As we grow LifeRing Canada it is important that our community participants know we are there and want to hear from you.
As a not-for-profit organization, donations are always appreciated. Our method of contributing to LifeRing Canada has been updated:
