Greetings LifeRing Members,
Recently you received our first formal communication, and I am very proud to be sending our first formal newsletter. George Gidora, Jamie Itterman, and I have been meeting monthly to discuss our progress and future endeavors within the LifeRing Canada family.
As you have probably heard by now, we are planning our first face-to-face Annual General Meeting, since 2019. This meeting is going to be held on Saturday, December 4th at 3 PM at the Bell Irving Room, G. R. Pearkes Recreation Centre, 3100 Tillicum Road, Victoria, BC.
This meeting will be chaired by George, Barb, and Jamie our current active board members. We have an agenda that will take us through a number of topics; from our president’s report, our yearly financial report, new board elections, and how our current meetings have been going, just to name a few.
We have had a challenging 20 months of COVID and trying times when it comes to meetings, recovery, and our own personal challenges. We hope that you along with any invited guests will join us for a few hours of recapping our LifeRing organization that is strong and willing to help.
Our board will be offering streaming options to attend the AGM, so if you are able and would like to participate, please e-mail our main office with your interest at info@liferingcanada.org and you will be contacted with the Zoom information.
If you will be participating in person, please join us at G.R. Pearkes Recreation Centre, Bell Irving Room. A sign-in sheet will be in the room. In-person participants are encouraged to wear a mask.
As you know, we are a non-profit society, who are always looking for volunteers, whether that be participating on the board, becoming a convenor or lending some time to be part of a committee. Let us know if you can spare 1-3 hours per month to help.
